This
requires
administrative access to your
computer
I did this in Windows XP, service names/dlls could be differnt in other
platforms or CW versions
Correcting your winsocks order:
Go to Start-->Run
Type in 'sporder'
Hit 'OK'
There should be multiple entries starting with MSAFD and CWALSP.
Select one starting with 'CWALSP' (these should be at the top of the
list) and press 'down' ultil it is at the bottom of the list
Do this for every other entry starting with 'CWALSP'
Make sure the 'MSAFD' entries are at the top
click OK, and then say yes, you wish to continue.
Disabling the CW service:
Start-->run-->type 'services.msc'-->click OK
Find Content Watch
Right click-->from 'startup type menu' choose 'disabled'
Disabling cwtray:
Start-->run-->type 'msconfig'-->OK
go to 'startup' tab
uncheck the box next to 'cwtray'
Click OK
And finally: reboot (you could also manually stop the service and kill
the cw process although i think you have to do it in that order as the
process has a habit of starting back up)
